会　会社や官庁などの職員として働いている場合は、trabajar para (to work for) の表現を用いることが多い。
Yo trabajo para el municipio. 　(I work for the city government.)

Mi papá trabaja para una compañía. (My dad works for a company.)
Su mamá trabaja para Canon. (His mother works for Canon.)

店　店などで働いている場合は、trabajar en (to work at) を用いることが多い。
Yo trabajo en un restaurante en Ichibancho.(I work at a restaurant in Ichibancho.)
Carmen trabaja en una librería.　（Carmen works at a bookstore.)

学 　学生の場合は ser estudiante (to be a student)、あるいは estar en el tercer grado (to be in the third grade)、estar en la escuela intermedia (to be in a middle school) などの表現を用いる。
Soy estudiante universitario. (I am a college student.)

Mi primo está en el quinto grado. (My cousin is in the fifth grade.)
Mi hermanita está en el colegio. (My little sister is in shcool.)

主　主婦は ama de casa (ama は主人という意味）、「退職している」は estar jubilado / estar jubilada と言う。
Su abuela está jubilada. (His grandmother is retired.)

Mi madre es ama de casa. (My mother is homemaker.)
